About Dominique Burton

As a young girl with a writer for a mom and three brothers, I lived in the imaginary world of books and movies like Anne of Greene Gables and Indiana Jones. Most of the time I was writing and acting out my own stories with Harrison Ford as my hero. Not too shabby for a seven year old!

I’m a lover of Europe who at twenty got the wild notion to buy an around-the-world plane ticket. For six months I circled the globe on my own, traveling to Singapore, Australia, living and studying in Italy, learning about ancient cultures in Egypt, floating down the Nile, watching animals on safari in Kenya, scuba diving in Tahiti and having a blast. I graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in History.

I now live in South Jordan, Utah, with my husband, two children and three step-children, with whom I dearly love.  If I’m not writing romances or young adult stories, I’m reading or out running. A few years ago I had the privilege of running the Boston Marathon.

  1. I’m so glad I’m the first person to sign in on your lovely new website.

Watching you go through the process of writing and getting published has thrilled me to death. You’ve got one of the world’s greatest editors so you couldn’t be in better hands.

Will never forget the day you and I had lunch with Paula at the Grand America where we talked stories for hours. Who dreamed it would result in my signing in on your good news.

  5. Ms Burton, you are definitely your mother’s daughter. Your books are awesome. I have all your mother’s and I am looking forward to many more of yours. Question – Will you be writing a Cole’s story?

  6. Dear Bina,

I am honored and touched that you would say such kind words about my writing. I too love to read my mother’s works and I am feel privileged to be put in the same company. The answer to your question is yes! I just finished writing Cole’s story this month. I’m not sure when it will be released exactly. I think it should be out sometime next spring.

I’ll keep you updated in my newsletter.

Thank you for writing and making my day.

    Ciao,

  7. You really make it appear really easy with your presentation however I find this topic to be really one thing that I believe I would by no means understand. It seems too complicated and very wide for me. I am taking a look ahead on your next post, I?ll attempt to get the cling of it!

  8. Just purchased your two recent books. I have been a fan of your Mothers since I began reading Romance in 2005. I can’t say enough about your Mom writing. I believe I have read all of her books since then. Am looking forward to more from you. Sincerely, janet

  9. Just finished “The Alaskan Rescue”. Had this book for two mos. before I read it. You didn’t disappoint. I knew I was going to like this book and put if off in anticipation. I just loved your story. So much emotion. Tears for both Sashi and Cole. It certainly pulled my hearts things. Looking forward to your next book. Keep them coming! Your fan, Janet Maxim
